Beetle Bailey Turns 60!
Reflections from creator Mort Walker on his famous cartoon character
Mort Walker has loved the "funny papers" since he was three years old and spent Sunday mornings reading them with his dad. The laughs they shared while pouring over the comics together are among his "most enjoyable moments ever." Those Sunday mornings were certainly instrumental, too, in Mort's reading before the age of four and creating and selling political cartoons by the time he was eleven years old.

Our salute to the soldiers, Patriot style
Our Veteran's Day initiative maintains the patriotic partnership we established with the Disabled American Veterans, CT Division in 2006. For the past 80-plus years, the DAV has worked to build better lives for our disabled vets and their families by being their voice on Capitol Hill, an advocate for service programs, and providing transportation and rehabilitation as needed.
