What a Difference a "Yes" Makes!
The Three R's in Action
Kevin Gilmartin with customer Frank Di'Urno
Customer Frank M. Di'Urno of Balance Architecture, LLC from Norwalk had an HSA account with Patriot. He happened to mention to Danbury Road VP/Branch Manager Kevin Gilmartin, that he was putting together a golf tournament to raise funds for ALS. His dad, Francesco Di'Urno had died in March of the disease. Frank and his family wanted to do something to give back to the ALS Association. Would Patriot help? Without hesitation, Kevin said YES! Frank, thrilled with Patriot's quick response and miffed at being turned down by his other banks, brought another one of his accounts over to Patriot. And that got him thinking - about how many times his 'Big Box' bank had said no or worse still, had never gotten back to him with an answer to his questions or applications. He realized that the more the other banks were taken over or merged, the less service and satisfaction he was receiving. "It became difficult to know who to approach or who had authority. These banks could not get out of the way of themselves to think outside of the box. Additionally, I missed the friendliness of being called by my name and working with people who cared about my community. I found that again at Patriot," Frank told us.
If you drop by our Danbury Road branch, you will see a T-shirt displayed that pays tribute to Francesco Di'Urno. For our customer Frank, it's a reminder of his dad, the golf tournament that was held in his honor on August 2nd, and the Bowl-A-Thon scheduled for November 21st at Rip Van Winkle Lanes in Norwalk. For Patriot, it's a reminder of our commitment to our customer and our community and how everyday, it's important to practice our three R's: Respectful, Responsive and Resourceful.
