Farewell to a Friend

Patriot remembers Brian Fitzgerald

It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to a treasured member of the Patriot National Bank family. Brian A. Fitzgerald, an Advisor and and Retired Director at Patriot lost his struggle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, on Saturday, August 7th. He had been diagnosed in 2008.

Brian, a lifelong Norwalk resident was well-known and admired throughout the area for his dedication to the community through both his work and his volunteerism.

Brian served as a Patriot National Bank and Bancorp Director since 2005. We will miss Brian's passion, guidance and his generous spirit. Patriot National Bank extends our deepest sympathies to his wife of forty years, Gay, his children Mark, Kareyann, Melissa, Colleen, John and their spouses and his eight grandchildren. We know they were the light of his life.
